Anagrama Designs Tulum International Film Festival’s Identity – PRINT Magazine

Inspired by the art that’s spurred from social justice movements and street art, Anagrama created an identity system for the Tulum International Film Festival that utilizes elements of stencils and stickers. The identity is strong and striking and allows anyone of any language to understand the impactfulness of the event through the visuals alone. Additionally, only using black, white, and yellow adds another prominent component to the identity system to make the designs pop. 


Tulum International Film Festival ( FICTU ) is a government initiative in Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico. It was born with the purpose of disseminating the best national and international film productions while activating cinematographic projections and cultural activities. The festival celebrated its second edition in August 2021. The first edition took place in December 2019.

Create the visual system for the Tulum International Film Festival second edition called “Ven a ver” ( “Come and see” ). We seek to preserve the first edition’s identity by adding a disruptive, striking and inclusive image while retaining congruence with its natural and social environment.

Inspired by urban art that transmits social movement, justice and empowerment, we took the use of stencils and stickers for the visual system. These elements, in addition to having a strong meaning, grant an easy and fast reproduction in a variety of formats. We chose yellow to accentuate the colors of the Tulum surroundings and use it as a reference for the modernity and urbanization that is being lived in the area. Seeking to honor the local, national and international culture that is currently experienced in Tulum, we created the “Ven a ver” ( “Come and see” ) iconography so that anyone, regardless of their language, can have a visual reference and understanding of the festival’s message.

Embracing the Unexpected For This Year’s Polish Film Festival – PRINT Magazine

Traffic Design has injected The Polish Film Festival’s Out Of Home advertising with a flair for the unexpected. Their creative team scoured the city to find ten unique places to showcase their advertisements, and from postcard stands to bakeries to statues; they found perfectly wonderful places. Sometimes it’s necessary to think outside of the box, and with something as creative as a film festival, this advertising campaign has gotten it right.


The Polish Film Festival in Gdynia is an annual event celebrating, highlighting and awarding film creators from all over the country. Its long tradition and well-established reputation bring to Gdynia the most celebrated personae in the industry every year. In short, they’ve got the “serious cultural event” vibe covered. When the festival organizers reached out to us with an idea of putting Andrzej Munk’s 10 commandments of filmmaking “somewhere in the city”, we thought it’s a great opportunity to infuse the festival with a playful spirit. What better way to do so than to send the film lovers and the filmmakers alike on an urban escapade in search of the 10 commandments?

Following this idea, one of our team members meticulously scouted the city in search of places within walking distance from the festival’s headquarters that could be used as ambient advertising spots. We set out to create a typography-based design; simple and allowing necessary variation to adapt the visual style to many outlets. The words of one of the most influential mid-century film directors and educators were dressed in a contemporary typography style, highlighting their evergreen meaning.

Equipped with maps and wind resistant clothing, festival participants and spectators set out to rediscover the vital rules of filmmaking. Join them on the trip!​​​​​​​

If You’ve Ever Wanted To Live Inside A Wes Anderson Film, Now You Can In This 1950s Train Carriage – PRINT Magazine

If there’s anything that American filmmaker Wes Anderson is known for, it’s his distinct symmetrical, whimsical, and vibrant scenes throughout his various films.

And while each of his many movies is absolutely unique and wholly original, the filmmaker often works in scenes on a train. So it seems natural that Anderson was selected to work with the travel brand Belmond to create a train experience that makes real-life feel a little more extraordinary, much like how his aesthetically pleasing films make us feel.

The train car features a pastel pink ceiling paired with green hues on the carpet and the chairs. Stepping into this train car, you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported into one of his symmetrical cinematic sets, an otherwordly and immersive experience.

A one-day trip on the Cygnus train from London’s Victoria railway station, including dining, is around $545 per person.
